About us

African Stakeholders Inc (ASI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and connecting African immigrants in Milwaukee.

Our Story: A Community United by Purpose

ASI was born from a simple yet powerful idea: when we uplift one another, we rise together. For years, African immigrants and refugees have contributed to the economic, social, and cultural fabric of Wisconsin. However, many have faced barriers—limited economic opportunities, underrepresentation in leadership, and a lack of platforms to express their culture and identity.

Recognizing this, a group of passionate leaders came together to create a space where African communities could thrive—one built on support, opportunity, and advocacy.

Today, ASI is a beacon of hope, empowerment, and unity, serving as a bridge between the past, present, and future of African communities in the state.

Our Vision

Empowering African Voices and Futures in the State of Wisconsin

We envision a vibrant and unified African Stakeholders community, where every voice is valued, every culture is celebrated, and every individual has access to the opportunities they need to succeed.

Through economic empowerment, cultural representation, and intergenerational leadership, we are building a future where African immigrants and refugees are not just surviving—but thriving.

Our Mission

Through our commitment to inclusivity and sustainable progress, ASI is dedicated to:

✔ Championing the voice and interests of African immigrants and refugees.
✔ Creating a thriving, empowered community where every individual is valued.
✔ Providing economic opportunities that lead to financial independence.
✔ Nurturing future leaders through youth empowerment and mentorship.
✔ Amplifying African culture and heritage to strengthen identity and pride.
✔ Advocating for policies that benefit African communities and ensure equity.

We believe that when communities are empowered, generations flourish.
